Manny Pacquiao together with Freddie Roach and the undefeated Timothy Bradley
Manny Pacquiao has a Surprise for Timothy Bradley
Will Bradley be Surprised by Manny Pacquiao in their Second Encounter?
Manny Pacquiao is all set for his upcoming fight with the undefeated boxer, Timothy Bradly. Pacquiao's coach, Freddie Roach, warned Bradley to prepare for a big surprise from Manny.
In an interview, Roach said Bradley should not be complacent because the Filipino boxer won't be merciful as he was during their first encounter. Pacquiao is reportedly full of motivation and fully driven to get back the WBO welterweight title that he lost to Bradley two years ago.
“If Bradley thinks he's going to see the same compassionate Manny he saw the first time they fought, he is in for a very big surprise," Roach said in ESPN.
Roach also mentioned the great efforts of Manny during their training in the Philippines. Freddie said Pacquiao showed the kind of motivation that he hasn't seen before. As part of their schedule, Pacquiao and Freddie Roach will start the real training in Los Angeles this week.
In a separate interview, Bradley allegedly said that he is much better than Pacquiao and he would put up a great fight. However, he assured his fans that will upset Pacquiao for the second time.
“This guy cannot outsmart me or out punch me. After the second round I told myself this is the best in the world? I guarantee you if I would have had my feet 100%, I’d have beat him more decisively. The only way he’s going to beat me is if he puts me to sleep and he’s not going to do it,” the undefeated American said.
Meanwhile, Roach hired former world junior welterweight champion Kendall Holt, former lightweight champion Steve Forbes and Roger “Speedy” Gonzales as Pacquiao's sparring mates.
In 2009, Holt sent Bradley to the canvas during the first and the final round. However, Bradley won via majority decision. On the other hand, Gonzales will help Pacquiao enhance his hand speed and Forbes will teach him to be a more intelligent fighter.
